Way back in the 4th Grade, I wrote a story about hang gliding, despite having never tried it (hang gliding, that is). Undeterred, I wrote about the fear of leaping into the unknown, the thrill of twisting and turning in the air, and the freedom that came with soaring as high as I dared. It probably wasn't a very good story, but my teacher humored me, writing, "That was wonderful. How long have you been hang gliding?" And in that moment, my love for writing began.

I fell in love with words, and their incredible power to communicate, motivate, and inspire. I've written a lot more of them since then, been fortunate to work with some great companies, and (hopefully!) improved as a writer. But the joy that comes from connecting with another person has never faded.
